Playing off of the story of the Prince and the Pauper, Love, Come Back tells the story of Mao Mao, a wealthy Beijing teenager who wastes his days playing internet games. In order to broaden his experience, his father sends him on a journey to his own childhood home in Inner Mongolia, where he must learn to adapt to vastly different conditions and change his own outlook on life. Meanwhile, Bateer, a villager from Inner Mongolia, takes over Mao Mao’s life in Beijing and must adjust himself to the restrictions – and freedoms – afforded by his new life.
